White collar crimes

White collar crimes fall within the scope of corporate criminal law and are related to crimes typically committed by persons related to the business world.

It is difficult to outline a precise regulatory profile within the Italian Legal Framework, since white collar crimes are disseminated among different laws (Civil Code, Bankruptcy Law, Criminal Code, etc.). The white collar crimes can be the following:

  • Fraud: fraud against the State, fraudulent insolvency and misappropriation;
  • Fraudulent accounting: false corporate communications to the detriment of companies, shareholders or creditors;
  • Bribery: a crime particularly applicable to acts committed to the detriment of the company;
  • Impediment to public supervisory authorities;

Our VGS Lawyers are specialized in the preventive analysis of the circumstances that may determine these types of crimes and in the defense of persons involved in the business activity.
